Age Requirement
You must be 21 years of age to order or receive alcoholic beverages from Oak Tree Discount Wine & Spirits / www.oaktreewines.com. Any shipments containing alcoholic beverages are sent with an "Adult Signature Required" sticker, and the common carrier that delivers our merchandise is required to ask and check for identification upon delivery. This means that you will have to be present at the time of delivery. It is highly recommended that you provide us with a business shipping address for best service. Customer comments on their order such as "Please leave on back porch" or "Please leave at front door" will be ignored! We will not be able to refund any shipping charges if your package comes back to us because there was no adult to sign for the wine! All shipments containing alcohol require an adult (21+) signature for delivery. UPS/Fed EX will require proper ID and will make up to three delivery attempts before returning a shipment to us. All shipping charges are non-refundable. Therefore, we strongly recommend shipping to a business address.
Shipping Destinations The sale and shipping of wine is regulated by each and every individual state therefore we cannot ship to every state. Currently the states that we may NOT ship beverage alcohol to are: Alaska and Hawaii. Customers who wish to shop our site from these states or send products to these states may only order non-alcoholic products. Gourmet Baskets without beverage alcohol, Accessories, Stemware and Fancy Foods can be shipped to all 48 continental states. Oak Tree Discount Wine & Spirits / www.oaktreewines.com does not ship internationally. (See Shipping Options & Rates).
Availability & Vintages & Pricing Wine is finite and good vintages sell quickly. Quantities sell out and wines that are highly sought after sell the quickest. We also sell wines as 'pre-arrivals' and 'futures' meaning the wine is not yet in the country but available to sell. If you are interested in a specific wine that is not yet in we encourage you to place your order it if the quantity is still open. We monitor our web site on a daily basis but even then there are some wines that are not immediately removed or amended due to vintage changes, out-of-stocks, etc. You will be contacted via phone or email to confirm your order within 2 business days. In some instances it may be only a question of our re-ordering the wine if we buy it from a local distributor. In other cases, we may have sold out and cannot get the requested item in stock again. Oak Tree Discount Wine & Spirits / www.oaktreewines.com reserve the right to make appropriate vintage substitutions when necessary. You may request that we notify you before doing so by writing "Do Not Sub" in the delivery notes box on our order page. We will then contact you if necessary.
Shipping Time All orders placed are usually shipped within 48 hours. Please note, we do not ship Friday through Sunday. We do however ship some orders destined for certain residential New Jersey addresses during the weekend. There may be faster shipping options. Returns Returns will be approved only by review of transaction. The purchaser is responsible for return shipping fees. By law, we are only allowed to accept returns of unopened goods that were purchased in error. Additionally, because of the fees charged by your credit card company when we charge and subsequently credit your card, we may enforce the collection of our restocking fee, 10 percent of the order total. The circumstances surrounding the order may impact our enforcement of this policy. You will not be responsible for paying the restocking fee if we made an error on your order.
Shipping Packaging & Tracking We do our very best to insure that all packages are wrapped properly to protect against damage due to usual delivery issues or temperature. If there are concerns about extreme weather conditions in your area, you may request a specific shipping date or you may choose a faster shipping method. All shoppers will receive information via email containing tracking information once your order is packed and ready for shipment.
Insurance In order to protect every order that is placed with www.oaktreewines.com for delivery via common carrier, an insurance fee of 2% is added to the order total. This covers you from any package lost or damaged in transit. If you wish to waive the insurance, you may do so by un-checking the box during the checkout process, however, this waives all responsibility from Oak Tree Discount Wine & Spirits / www.oaktreewines.com.
Shipping Conditions & Title Oak Tree Discount Wine & Spirits / www.oaktreewines.com will arrange for shipment on behalf of the buyer, to an address specified by the buyer. Title to, and ownership of, all beverage alcohol passes from Oak Tree Discount Wine & Spirits / www.oaktreewines.com to the purchaser in the State of New Jersey and the purchaser takes all responsibility for the shipping of it from New Jersey to his/her home state. By arranging for transportation of the wine, Oak Tree Discount Wine & Spirits / www.oaktreewines.com is providing a service to, and acting on behalf of the purchaser. If a buyer lives in a state where the direct shipment of wine by Oak Tree Discount Wine & Spirits / www.oaktreewines.com violates the law, we suggest that the buyer provide an alternate address in another state. By utilizing this service from Oak Tree Discount Wine & Spirits / www.oaktreewines.com, the purchaser is represents that he/she is legally compliant with his/her local and state laws regarding the purchase, transportation and delivery of wine and spirits. The purchaser represents that he/she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working through properly licensed intermediaries where required, is legally entitled to take possession of wine and is legally entitled to take quantities ordered and once again authorizes that he/she is 21 years of age.
Weather Conditions During periods of extreme weather, we attempt to ship wines at the beginning of each week in order to get shipments to you before the weekend. This is because we have no control over the temperature conditions at our freight carriers' warehouses. Please understand that during business hours, your orders may be delayed until ideal conditions for shipment arise.
